In this study, flotation of oxidised ores rich in copper and cobalt from Mupine deposit in the Democratic Republic of Congo had been investigated. This ore contains 4.85% copper, 0.16% cobalt. The recovery of copper and cobalt was performed using flotation to increase the concentration of copper and cobalt.
Effective flotation collector reagent selection is dependent on the sulphide minerals present, their mineral associations in the ore, and circuit characteristics. Because an ore typically has more than one copper sulphide mineral type, often a combination of sulphide flotation collectors is used to maximize metallurgical performance.

Flotation of mixed copper oxide and sulphide minerals with . At a blend of 70% sulphide ore and 30% oxide ore, the rougher scavenger copper recovery was as high as 95.5%. The copper recovery from the blended ore using a mixture of collectors was shown to be superior to the recovery obtained using only xanthate after . Online Service
sulphidisation for flotation of oxidized sulphides has also been demonstrated (Newell et al., 2006). When introduced in the slurry, the sulphidiser dissociates into -the species H 2 S, HS-or S 2, depending on the pH. These ions react with the copper oxide minerals to form a sulphide layer on the surface of
The oxide orebodies, in which the copper is present about half as sulfide and half as oxidized minerals, and where the recovery to be expected is 25 or 30 lb. per ton of ore, might well be treated first by the method used at New Cornelia, to recover the oxide copper, then reground and sent through the regular flotation operation.

Abstract:A certain copper ore in Chacarilla area from Bolivia, with the high Cu content of 2.74%, belongs to one type of high grade and high mud content complex copper oxide ore.In order to make full use of the ore, the raw ore was classified and pre-discarded by 0.18mm., the barren rocks, which accounted for 47.03% of the raw ore (-0.18mm size fraction), could be pre-discarded, while …

The use of flotation conditioners process can increase the selectivity of the flotation process, enhance the effect of the collectors, and improve the conditions of the ore pulp. 1. Sulfurizing Reagent. Oxidized ore is generally formed by ionic bonding, and is highly hydrophilic. It is not easy to float oxidized ore with xanthate collector.
Sulfidization flotation is the most economical and effective way to deal with oxidized copper ore. The quality of sulfidization directly affects the flotation index. In this paper, the common methods of sulfidization of copper oxide ore, the function of sulfidization and the reasons of inhibition caused by excessive sulfidization are described.
This flotation process is mainly composed of ball mill, flotation machine, shaking table, etc.Froth flotation process is applied to rough processing and concent...
This paper reviews uses of sodium sulfide in the flotation of oxide minerals of copper, lead, and zinc. The activation and depression effects of sodium sulfide are of particular importance because of their applications with oxidized lead and copper ores. In spite of its industrial importance, the nature of the heterogeneous reactions between sulfide ions in solution and the surface of oxidized ...
The flotation of oxidized minerals is mostly carried out by a vulcanization process. Because of the high flotation speed of oxidized ore after sulfidation, concentrate products are directly produced in the first 1-2 tank of the first roughing.
Separation flotation method can also achieve good results for refractory oxidized copper ore. It is to crush the mineral to a certain particle size, mix 0.1% ~ 1.0% salt and 0.5% ~ 2.0% pulverized coal, and heat it to about 900 ℃ in oxygen isolation. The copper in the ore will precipitate on the carbon particle surface in metal state.

The effect of pulp chemistry on oxidised copper sulphide minerals and copper oxide minerals were first studied separately before examining a mixed system. The work completed on the oxidised sulphide mineral revealed that grinding pulp chemistry affects the flotation performance of the ore for each oxidation degree tested. For the
